Some of these major portals such as Elance, Freelancer and Odesk are slowly taking away work from agencies in developed countries.

Many businesses are turning to outsourcing because they simply cannot afford the cost of employees from their own country. When you can save upto 70%, why wouldn't you?
With a already small market in the Illawarra region, many of these businesses are beginning to close down as it is simply not affordable anymore.
It will be interesting to see where the industry goes from here. Will all websites be made overseas in the future?
